About the App
Agribazaar is a platform designed to empower farmers, traders, FPOs, corporates, and processors. The goal of this project was to redesign the app to make it more user-friendly, reduce the number of steps in key processes, and improve accessibility for non-tech-savvy users. The app provides features like crop and farm information, crop calendar and mandi bhav (marketplace) to help users manage and increase their income and trades effectively.

What features are missing for crop management?
How can we make the app accessible for non-English speakers?
How can we speed up auction bidding?
Key Decisions
Added a map-based farm area input tool.
Enabled quick bidding for traders.
Provided real-time weather updates.
Ensured accessibility with high-contrast mode and screen reader support.

I redesigned the app’s structure to simplify navigation and reduce steps in key processes. Features were grouped logically, making it easier for farmers and traders to access tools like weather updates and auctions.

After testing our prototype with the farmers across 3 regions, we made key refinements to enhance usability and trust. Signup time was cut down from 1 minute and 45 seconds, the regional language support was added, notification was prioritized for crop alerts based on urgency. Each change addressed specific farmer pain points, hesitation, mistrust, and information overload.
